Let’s talk a minute about Supernova Casino.
They’re owned and operated by Blue Media N.V. Casinos – the same as Golden Lion Casino, whom we’ve also reviewed here on play-casino-games-now.com.
But – unlike other casino networks – Supernova and Golden Lion Casino aren’t carbon copies. So, even if you’ve read our Golden Lion review, or even if you have an account there, you still might want to consider having an account here, too.
The only way to know for sure, though, is to read about them in our review below.
Keep reading to see if they’re the right casino for you.
They’re owned and operated by Blue Media N.V. Casinos. Blue Media also owns and operates Golden Lion and Eclipse Casino. All 3 casinos are licensed in Curacao.
Supernova Casino has been online since 2016.
They’re still relatively new, so there aren’t tons of reviews or forum posts online. But here’s what I managed to dig up:
That’s the extent of what I could find from trustworthy review sites. It looks like the general consensus is that Supernova Casino is an average casino.
Players from the following countries/regions will not be able to play at Supernova Casino:
You can contact Supernova Casino through the following:
The payment methods Supernova Casino accepts includes:
Deposit Methods | Min Amount | Max Amount |
---|---|---|
Bank Wire | $25 | Unlimited |
Visa | $25 | $1,000 |
MasterCard | $25 | $1,000 |
Neteller | $25 | $1,000 |
Skrill | $25 | $1,000 |
PaySafeCard | $25 | $1,000 |
A $1,000 max is a bit low, but it looks like this is on a per transaction basis. And I didn’t find anything in their terms and conditions that limits how many transactions you can make in a day/week/month.
You can cash out your winnings using:
Withdrawal Methods | Min Amount | Max Amount |
---|---|---|
Visa | $150 | $2000 – 1 p/week |
MasterCard | $150 | $2000 – 1 p/week |
Bank Wire | $150 | $2000 – 1 p/week |
Neteller | $150 | $2000 – 1 p/week |
Skrill | $150 | $2000 – 1 p/week |
They say it can take up to 7 business days to process your cash out. This is a bit long, but I have seen far worse.
The $150 minimum cash out is a tad high, too. They let you deposit as little as $25, but if you deposit that little an amount, you’ll have to get lucky and win $125+ before you’ll be able to cash it back out.
Since they don’t charge fees, I can see why it might make sense to have such a high cash out minimum. It reduces how much manpower is used processing payments, which reduces their expenses. They can then afford to pass those savings onto their customers.
However, if I played $5, lost $1, and wanted to cash out $4 in a brick and mortar casino, I could. It should be the same way online.
Other than that, there’s a $2,000 per week limit – which is pretty standard.
They don’t make an exception for progressive winners. All they do say is they reserve the right to send large payments in installments, with the amount and time frame influenced by the player’s class, which is determined by their deposit and activity.
It’d be ideal if they made an exception for progressive winners. But that’s the extent of my complaints here.
The problem with this offer is that it’s nowhere on their main site (that I could find) – including their terms and conditions
When I first contacted them about it, the first response I received said that offer isn’t legit, and they wanted to know where I found it.
The second response I received said this is for players who are making their first deposit. And if you wanted it, you needed to contact support via live chat to request it.
I sent another message asking about the playthrough terms but never heard back.
If you want this offer, make sure you ask their support about it AND make sure you’re 110% clear on the terms and conditions. This is a huge offer that can prevent you from being able to cash out for a long time.
Supernova is offering a few different promotions for first time customers. Here are the details:
They don’t make it clear anywhere, including their terms, but it sounds like you have to choose between the slots, card or roulette bonus, as they say each offer is valid on your first 2-3 deposits.
That’s the impression I get, anyway.
As for Their Bonus Terms
You’ll need to wager the deposit and bonus 40x. This is a bit high relative to the casinos who have the best bonuses and rollover requirements. For example, I just reviewed Dunder Casino – their bonus has a 25x playthrough on the deposit + bonus.
This is a pretty substantial difference. We’re talking hundreds, if not thousands of dollars.
The playthrough for the card game bonus will be 45x the deposit and bonus. Compared to the slots playthrough, as well as the playthrough for card games at other casinos, this is pretty darn good. Most casinos are in the realm of 200-400x.
In other words, the odds that the 45x playthrough will apply to blackjack players – in my experience – is slim to none. If it happens, great, but I’d expect to have to rollover much more than that.
Supernova has a few other offers going – their Daily Specials and Monthly Deals.
Here are the details for both.
Daily Specials
You can choose between one of the two following offers:
These are available for deposits of $75+ every day, Monday to Friday.
Monthly Deals
There are 3 offers for both slots and card game players.
They don’t post any terms underneath these offers, so it’s safe to assume the terms from the welcome bonus (which is from their terms and conditions) will apply here, too.
And …that’s it.
Overall, they have a nice set offers. I really like how they accommodate both slots and table game players, plus have varying deposit requirements that will suit just about any budget.
The only real complaint I have is their playthrough – it’s a touch too high at 40x your deposit and bonus. It’d be much better if they could bring it back to 20-30x.
They do both!
They don’t say anything in their promotions section about their comp points program. But it is mentioned in their terms and conditions.
You’ll receive points for every real money bet you make in their casino. Supernova doesn’t say how many points you’ll receive for every $1 or $10 you spend. But their sister site – Eclipse Casino – does, and it’s 1 point per $10 wagered.
Then you’ll be able to exchange every 1,000 points you have for $1 in cashback.
They also have a multi-tier VIP program. The tiers in this program follow an outer space theme, which makes sense considering their name is Supernova.
The 4 tiers, and an idea of what you get when you hit each one, includes:
Like many VIP programs, what they list for perks on their VIP page is vague. Some of the perks – such as status recognition – doesn’t even make sense.
There are some things not mentioned, too, that I found in their terms and conditions.
Anyway, they have a VIP program – which not every online casino can say they have – and that’s a start in the right direction.
Unlike their sister casino, Golden Lion, it looks like Supernova only works with Rival Gaming. You may read from some sources that they work with BetSoft, too, but I logged in and combed their games and didn’t find anything from BetSoft I recognized.
You’ll be able to play most games here – classic slots, video slots, table games, video poker, scratch and instant win games, and more.
That’s probably the biggest letdown so far without actually digging into their games.
They have a download – it’s available in the backend after you create an account and log in. This is for Windows users only.
They also have an instant play casino where you play their games from your browser. That being the case, players using Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems will be able to use this option.
Mobile phone and tablet users can play here, too, though your mileage will vary based on your device – both in terms of brand and generation.
Android and Apple users should have no problem. In fact, I checked them out on my iPhone 6.
They don’t have as many games as you’ll find in their instant play casino, but there’s enough to keep you busy – especially if you play slots.
There are only a few table games, and I didn’t see a single video poker machine. That’s my biggest complaint – I think they should at least have jacks or better and deuces wild. Other than that, it’d be nice to see a few more table games other than blackjack and American/European roulette.
But it is a good start for a newer casino.
For our Supernova Casino review – unlike many other casinos we review – I was able to create an account and log in. So, the following examples are games directly from their backend.
Here’s a brief glimpse into what you can play at Supernova Casino.
Here are a couple noteworthy things about their slots section.
First, I liked that you can filter their slots by things like slots with bonus rounds, multipliers, free spins, expanding wilds and drop icons. This makes it real easy to find the slots you want to play.
The other thing worth noting are their I-Slots. This type of slot machine is exclusive to Rival Gaming.
What’s interesting about them is that they’re more or less story based. And the story changes based on the outcome of your spins and choices made during bonus rounds.
This is an interesting kind of machine to play, and sort of makes up for there not being licensed slots that revolve around video games or movies.
Even if you didn’t play those, though, there are tons of 3-reel, video and progressive slots to choose from.
This is far from the biggest selection of table games you’ll find online. But, they cover the basics well. At least it’s not all blackjack and roulette variants.
Same thing as the table games. It’s not the biggest list of video poker games out there, but they cover the most popular video poker machines people will want to play.
Not much to add here. There’s a nice mix of bingo, keno and scratch ticket games to play.
Overall
Everything is real easy to find in their casino. They have a dropdown menu you can use to find the specific kind of game you want to play (i-slots, table games, instant bingo, etc.), as well as additional filters, when applicable, you can use to drill down even further.
Their casino isn’t the biggest by far, but with the exception of live dealer games or specific titles, they cover the bases. Most people will be happy playing here.
There are several things about them I think they can improve. In no particular order:
That said, there’s nothing I could find that would or should stop you from playing here if something about Supernova catches your eye.
The bottom line – Supernova probably wouldn’t be my first choice for an online casino, but I could definitely see myself joining if I were in the neighborhood for a new online casino.
