Slotland Casino Review for 2018

This was an interesting review to write.

On one hand, Slotland.eu has a decent selection of promotions and games. Their offer terms are reasonable, too.

But on the other hand, they’ve managed to land themselves on a blacklist or three …and not for the typical reasons you’d expect.

What’s interesting about all this is, is that while some casinos have blacklisted Slotland.eu, others continue to recommend them.

So, where do we stand on everything? Do we recommend Slotland.eu to our readers?

Keep reading to find out.

(Us Customers Welcomed)
Device Compatibility:
  • Website – www.slotland.eu
  • Launched in 1998
  • Licensed and Regulated by Anjouan
  • Email – [email protected]
  • Unique Games Offered
  • Great Promotions
  • Poor Game Selection
  • Weak Software

Do they offer a welcome bonus? What are the terms?

Slotland Casino offers a welcome bonus. The total bonus is $1,000, but they spread it out over your first 10 deposits.

Here’s how that works:

Bonus Deposit Bonus Code
100% 1st deposit WELCOME1
50% 2nd deposit WELCOME2
50% 3rd deposit WELCOME3
50% 4th deposit WELCOME4
50% 5th deposit WELCOME5
50% 6th deposit WELCOME6
50% 7th deposit WELCOME7
50% 8th deposit WELCOME8
50% 9th deposit WELCOME9
50% 10th deposit WELCOME10

Every bonus is capped at $100, which means you can claim as much as $1,000 total from this offer. But you’ll need to agree to a couple terms first.

For Example:

You MUST use the bonus code to claim each bonus.

The default playthrough is 12x the bonus, which is incredibly low. But keep in mind some games will contribute less to clearing your bonus, which means you’ll need to wager more to fulfill the playthrough requirements.

For example:
  • Slot machines and all games except game below count 100% towards the requirements
  • Keno counts 50% towards wagering requirements
  • Space Jack, Joker Wild, Tens or Better, All American, Deuces & Joker Wild and Aces & Eights, Double Bonus Poker, count 20% towards wagering requirements

That appears to be it. I didn’t find any max betting or cash out limits, or any other kinds of restrictions in their terms and conditions.

Just a simple and straight-forward offer – just how I like them.

What additional promotions can you claim?

There are a few additional offers you can claim. Here are the details for each one.

  • Monthly Mystery Reload Bonus – You can start every month with a reload bonus worth up to 100%. All you got to do to qualify is read their email newsletter and play the mini-slot game to see what percentage match you’ll receive.

Regular players will win either a 30%, 50% or 100% reload bonus every month, whereas VIP members are eligible to win a 45%, 75% or 150% match bonus.

The default playthrough on this offer is 10x the bonus.

  • Weekly Free Draw – Make a deposit during the week and you’ll be entered into their weekly draw for prizes worth up to $1,500. Every dollar you deposit in a week will earn you 1 ticket towards the draw. So, the more you deposit, the more chances you have at winning.

Every Wednesday 20 players are drawn from the tickets. They’ll receive an email on how to claim their prize. Here’s how the prizes are distributed:

Position Prize
1 $500
2 – 10 $100
11 – 20 $10

Winnings have a 1x playthrough before you can cash out.

  • Cashback Bonus – Receive a 10% cashback bonus whenever your total deposits exceed $1,000. You’ll also receive a $100 bonus for every extra $1,000 you deposit on top of that.

You’ll receive an email with instructions on how to claim your bonus whenever you’re eligible. There’s a 1x rollover on the bonus before you can cash out.

And that wraps it up for their core offers. But they also have limited time offers called, Redeem Bonus Codes. They give you a bonus code that’s good on a specific day or week. They’ll also tell you how many times you can redeem it and how much the playthrough is.

Do they have a comps and/or VIP program?

They have a 3-tier VIP program. Here are the tiers and biggest perks that come with each:

  • Bronze – Deposit $3,000 total lifetime to qualify. You’ll get a 100% match bonus you can use on any deposit; then a $50 welcome bonus; more chances to win their weekly draw; and a guaranteed monthly bonus that’s 50% higher than non-VIP members.
  • Silver – Receive a $100 welcome bonus; on top of that you’ll get a 150% match bonus for any deposit you make; you’ll receive a $125 cashback bonus per $1,000 deposited (instead of $100).
  • Gold – Receive $200 for hitting the gold level; receive $150 per $1,000 deposited (instead of $100 or $125); and you’ll get more chances to win their weekly draw and higher monthly bonuses.

All VIP members will also receive expedited support. All you got to do is send your questions/issues to [email protected]

What software providers do they work with? What kinds of games can you play?

They use proprietary software, which – as I understand it – is what they’ve done from the beginning. This has been both a gift and a curse.

On one hand, you have games you’ll find nowhere else. If nothing else THAT is the reason you have to create a Slotland.eu Casino account.

On the other hand, they haven’t changed their software since they launched in 1998. Their software has been described as slow, clunky and low budget – something that will happen to anything that goes 20 years without some TLC.

The WizardOfOdds.com also says their house edge on games is a bit higher than others because of the unusual way their progressive jackpots are triggered. Their jackpots for card games, for example, are trigged by a RNG as opposed to the cards the player receive.

He goes on to say he feels that this is the wrong way to do things – that cards and dice games should follow the natural probabilities, as if dealt by a human being.

In their defense, though, Slotland.eu does disclose this on each game this applies to. One example is their Striking 7s slot game:

Please note that all Slotland games which share the Progressive Jackpot also employ the same mechanism that determines the jackpot win. Therefore, the probability of hitting the jackpot combination when playing for maximum bet on Striking Sevens is not natural but controlled by this shared random mechanism in the same way as slot machines’ wins.

This, in fact, is the reason why the WizardOfOdds.com, and one of the reasons why ThePogg.com, have blacklisted Slotland Casino.

I’ll talk about whether you should let this stop you from checking them out later on in the review. For now, let’s continue with looking at their games.

What devices is their casino compatible with? Are they mobile compatible?

They have an instant play and mobile-compatible casino.

All mobile users have to do is head to Slotland.eu and they’ll redirect you. They say it’s compatible with iOS and Android. On their game page, they also give you the impression that their casino is compatible with the WII video game console, too.

But who plays that anymore?

What are some examples of games you can play?

They don’t have a lot of games, so we’ll go ahead and list them all here.

  • Tropical Treat
  • Zodiac
  • Grand Liberty
  • Full Bloom
  • The Reel De Luxe
  • Leprechaun Luck
  • Fruitful 7s
  • Olympus
  • Hold the Riches
  • Slot 21
  • Gypsy Charm
  • Alice In Wonderland
  • Ninja Power
  • Neon Reels
  • Phantom of The Opera
  • Open Season
  • Vegas Vibes
  • Piggy Bank
  • Grand Fortune
  • Gods of Egypt
  • Treasure Island
  • Super Sevens
  • Air Mail
  • Carnival
  • Turbo GT
  • Ice Queen
  • Greatest Hits
  • Double Luck
  • Fruit Mania
  • Pearls of Atlantis
  • Tikal Treasure
  • Jewels of The Ancients
  • Treasure Box
  • Lucky Ducts
  • Witch’s Brew
  • Golden 8
  • Reel Riot
  • Mega Spin
  • Booster
  • Magic
  • Lucky Stars
  • Heavy Metal
  • Halloween Magic
  • Slotris
  • Silver Kiss
  • Santa Sleigh

One thing you’ll notice is the lack of any licensed slot titles. There’s Alice in Wonderland; this looks suspiciously like the Alice in Wonderland movie; but I’m pretty sure it’s not it.

One slot machine that looks pretty cool is Slotris. It looks like the different symbols are different Tetris blocks.

The other interesting thing I noticed are the slots with different number of reels and paylines. There are several that have as few as 1-4 paylines. Olympus is a 5×4, 40-payline slot, for example, which is different.

Anyway, there’s plenty of slots to play at Slotland.eu if you’re open to trying some unique titles.

Card GamesTable Games

  • Space Jack
  • Four Cast

Those are the only table games I found, which is disappointing. What’s worse is that both of these games were “Currently Unavailable” when I reviewed the casino.

Fortunately, there are a few more video poker options to help pick up the slack.

Video PokerVideo Poker

  • Double Bonus Poker
  • Deuces & Joker Wild
  • All American
  • Tens or Better
  • Aces & Eights
  • Joker Wild
  • Jacks or Better
  • Striking 7s

This is an okay selection, especially as it seems as if Slotland.eu prefers to focus on slots over everything else.

But that’s it. There are less than 60 games by my count, which is hardly exciting considering the 100s of games you can play at other casinos.

What payment methods does Slotland.eu accept?

The payment methods they accept include:

  • Bank Wire Transfer
  • Maestro
  • Neteller
  • Visa Debit
  • Visa Electron
  • InstaDebit
  • Visa
  • Skrill
  • Neteller 1-Pay
  • Bitcoin

What are your cash out options? Are there any limits or fees?

You can cash out your winnings using:

  • ACH
  • Bank Wire Transfer
  • Check
  • Neteller
  • InstaDebit
  • Courier Check
  • Skrill

The max is $5,000 per cash out.

They ship out cash outs once per week on Tuesdays, which sucks. However, the plus side is that my sources say Slotland.eu is reliable – they’ve been paying customers consistently since they launched in 1998.

How do you contact Slotland Casino? When are they available?

You can contact them using:

The one time I emailed them I received a response in less than 1 hour. Not bad at all.

Who owns and operates Slotland.eu? How long have they been in business?

Slotland is owned and operated by Slotland Entertainment S.A. They’ve been online since 1998.

They’re licensed and registered by the Government of Anjouan.

How’s their reputation? What do others think of them?

That depends on who you ask. Let’s start with the negatives.

  • The WizardOfOdds.com has blacklisted for the reason mentioned in the game section above.
  • ThePogg.com has blacklisted them for the same reason, as well as offering a roulette game that apparently offered no way to win. They did refund the player, but as a bonus that had a 40x rollover on roulette games. That’s messed up.
  • They’re in the gray zone on Casinomeister.com. They were once an accredited casino from 2000 to 2005. But the rules mentioned above – how the video poker jackpots play like slots instead of VP – lost them their accreditation.

However, also according to Casinomeister.com:

“Nevertheless, they seem to have many satisfied players. Their sister site Winaday runs the same software – a proprietary Slotland brand that seems a little archaic, but a lot of slot players love it (I guess they have a lot of old-timers there). They are based in Europe but are US facing. They’ve been in operation since 1998 (same as Casinomeister) and seldom generate complaints.”

And that’s the impression I get from all other review sites I go to for information, too. Furthermore, Slotland.eu only has 9 complaints on AskGamblers.com. All of them have been resolved.

With all that in mind, I’d say their reputation is average to above average (if you ignore the complaints about their software).

What countries are prohibited from playing here?

Players from the following countries are restricted from creating an account with Slotland Casino:

  • China
  • Czech Republic
  • France
  • India
  • Indonesia
  • Latvia
  • Lithuania
  • Malaysia
  • Slovakia
  • Ukraine
  • Vietnam

I also tried to sign up and was declined. I emailed them to ask about it and they gave me a real vague answer saying that gambling laws are different and that it’s up to me (the player) to determine what’s legal or not. Not helpful or useful information, if you ask me.

The bottom line – you may have to check for yourself. The list of prohibited countries from their terms and conditions is a good place to start.

What do we think of Slotland.eu? Do we recommend them to our readers?

This is tricky. Let’s start with what I like.

I’m a fan of their promotions. Not only are they reasonable size-wise, but you can earn some of them over multiple deposits. And the playthroughs are SUPER LOW.

It’s also great to see totally unique, one-off games and slot machines you won’t find elsewhere. That’s reason enough for me to check them out.

But I agree with the WizardOfOdds.com, ThePogg.com and Casinomeister.com when they say that Slotland’s games should mirror the games you’d play in a (heavily licensed and regulated) Nevada casino. A video poker should play like video poker, not slots.

Between that (which is less of a concern for me given their otherwise solid reputation) and the fact that they have far fewer games than other casinos have, and I have to recommend you join a different casino.

You can find some excellent alternatives on our casino review page.
