Interested in a US-friendly sportsbook and casino?
That’s a rhetorical question, because, aren’t we all?
That’s why you’ll want to read our 2017 MyBookie.ag review. They’re a sportsbook and casino who’ve been online since 2014, so they only have a couple of years under their belt.
This usually sets off alarms for us. But since many gambling sites we review nowadays are newish, it’s hard to hold it against them. We have to ignore it for a bit while we look at the truly important things – their background, deposit options, promotions and betting options.
Which is what we did, and, we found some good things …and a few things we’re not excited about.
Probably the worst thing we found out about MyBookie.ag are their ties to Bet On Sports. It sounds like management from Bet On Sports is working at MyBookie.ag.
Why is this a problem?
Well, BetOnSports.com was is a company who had money troubles prior to the UIGEA passing, which only got worse when their founders were arrested in 2006. Players lost millions as a result.
Some reviewers, such as SBR, have given them an average grade – which tells us they more or less recommend them. But then there are others who feel the opposite.
Who’s right? Who’s wrong? And, what should YOU do?
We’ll get to that in a minute. Before we do, let’s look at everything MyBookie.ag has to offer.
The banking options MyBookie.ag accepts include:
Pretty standard stuff EXCEPT they don’t accept payments by e-wallet. This sucks.
Here are their cash out options and fees:
What strikes me as weird are the fees – it’s not a flat-rate like at most gambling sites. It’s a range, where what you pay goes up the more you cash out.
I’d rather they charge a flat amount. An average would be fine, or somewhere in the middle. But make it simple.
Other than that, my biggest gripe are their e-wallet options – they have none. Not that US players could use them, but players from the rest of the world can.
MyBookie.ag only processes payments Monday thru Friday. You’ll want to keep in mind that it takes up to 48 hours to process a cash out. The minimum cash out is $100 and you have to roll your deposit over 1x before you can cash out. The max cash out is $2,000 per week.
If you run into any problems or have questions, you can contact them using a form on their website. You can also call their customer service toll free: 844-866-BETS (2387)
MyBookie.ag offers quite a few promotions. We’ll cover their core offers in the first section below. After that we’ll give you a shortlist of their offers for existing customers.
This is good on your first deposit of at least $50. The max you can deposit is $3,000 (for the bonus), and the rollover varies from 5-15x. It depends on how much you deposit. Here’s a general idea of how that works:
Their terms also state that you cannot make a cash out within 30 days of accepting this promotion. And free plays are only good on moneylines where the line is between -200 and +200.
This is good on your (qualifying) first deposit. The maximum is $500 and it has a 10-50x rollover.
This is for first time casino accounts. This is good up to $300. It has a 50x playthrough on both the deposit and bonus. Blackjack, craps, video poker, baccarat, sic bo, pai gow and roulette are all ineligible for meeting rollover requirements. This sucks, but looking at their 50x rollover for slots players, I’m not so sure you’d want a (table game) bonus anyway.
This is good up to $500. The playthrough is 5-15x depending on how much you deposit. Otherwise, it has the same terms as the sports deposit bonus above.
This is good in the race book. You’ll receive a 7% rebate daily and there’s no rollover requirements.
However, the rebate is more or less meant as a bonus, and cannot be cashed out immediately after you receive it. My Bookie doesn’t say how long you have to wait, but I’d assume they’re like the offers above where you have to wait 30 days.
Send friends to MyBookie.ag and receive a 100% match up to $100 for each referral. If you are playing on sports, this bonus will have a five (5) time rollover and if you decide to play in the Casino the rollover required will be 30 times (with the same game restrictions mentioned above).
MyBookie.ag has several other offers under their ‘Additional Cool Bonuses’ heading. Those include:
Keep in mind each offer will have terms you’ll want to familiarize yourself with before accepting them. This includes minimum bet sizes, odds and rollover amounts.
They have A LOT of offers, which is great to see. There’s a little bit of everything, too, between the deposit bonuses, cash back, rebates, free bets and finder’s fees.
However, I don’t like how they have a range on their rollover requirements, where the more you deposit, the more you’ll have to roll over.
I can understand them wanting to protect themselves, especially against (lucky) big winners. But like the withdrawal fees, I’d rather they err on the side of caution and have a 25 or 30x flat rollover regardless of how much you deposit. Just make it simple.
Not only that, but a 50x rollover on the deposit and bonus for slots players is ridiculously high.
But if you can look past those two things, they have lots of offers to take advantage of.
MyBookie.ag has a pretty straightforward sportsbook. They focus primarily on US sports with a few more-popular international sports mixed in.
Here’s what sports and events you can bet on:
Keep in mind these might change as the different sports seasons come and go. And if you don’t see something you want? Just ask – there’s a good chance they’ll give it to you.
From their site:
Here’s a total list of their betting options and examples from their NBA section:
One thing I found interesting was the religion category. You just don’t see that much. MyBookie.ag had odds on who will become the next pope.
The politics section was interesting, too. Here they have odds on who will be the next president in 2020. They also had odds on whether Trump will be successfully impeached by 2020.
One thing I didn’t see, though, is live betting. That is, at least, until I scrolled down to the bottom of their website. They have a link to their in-play betting section there. I assume they don’t push it too hard because their selection – which consists of only NFL, NCAA Football, NBA, MLB, NHL and tennis markets – is small. But at least they offer it.
One thing that sticks out to me are MyBookie.ag’s limits – which range from $10 to $1,000. This is odd, because most sportsbooks take bets as small as $1. And while most sportsbooks have lower max limits, they’re usually around the $2-$3,000 mark. Not $1,000.
But they make an exception. If you have the money in your account, and are willing to make your bet over the phone, MyBookie.ag will let you bet however much you want.
EXCEPT if you’re a professional bettor. At the bottom of their website you’ll find the following message:
So, if you’re a pro sports bettor, you’ll be better off betting at Bookmaker or Pinnacle. And, if you can’t afford the $10 minimum bet, I suggest you head to Bovada, 5Dimes or Bookmaker instead.
MyBookie.ag offers TONS of slots, table, video poker and live dealer games, all of which come from BetSoft.
Working with BetSoft has its pros and cons.
On the upside, BetSoft offers a great selection of unique games you won’t find elsewhere. You’ll know what I mean when you play their 3D slots. They have tons of recognizable titles that look great and are loads of fun to play.
The downside is that where they failed to pay out a progressive jackpot winner when the casino decided not to pay them.
The bottom line is that it’s hard to trust a casino who works with a software company who appears to be missing their moral compass.
Ultimately you’ll have to decide if that’s going to scare you away or not. We’ve certainly lost some respect for them, even after years of touting their games as fun and unique.
Anyway, here’s a list of their games and any thoughts we may have about them.
This is a solid selection of video poker games. What I like is they give you a diverse selection of games, not including the simple and not-so-exciting multi-hand variation. You get both, which I think is a smart move on their part.
This is one of those things where you just need to play one or two of these slots to see how neat they are. I’ve played Under the Bed, Slotfather and Mad Scientist more than I care to admit. Each game has fun intros, cut scenes and bonus rounds. Some of these are even better than the slots I’ve played in brick and mortar Las Vegas casinos.
I’ve not played their regular slots – all my time has been spent on their 3D slots. But it looks like they have several interesting titles here, and if there 3D slots are any indication, I’d expect their regular slots to be fun, too.
They have an impressive list of table games. They have a little of everything, as well as a few blackjack and roulette variations. It’s hard to find something to complain about.
I really like how MyBookie.ag has live dealer games. It’s something you still won’t find at every US-facing casino, so I’m glad to see it here. Not only that, but instead of only offering 2-4 live games, they have 9 different options.
Nice play, MyBookie.ag and BetSoft. Nice play, indeed.
You won’t find many scratch games here, especially compared to other online casinos. But it’s neat to see so many keno variations. The virtual racebook isn’t something every casino offers, either.
And that wraps up their casino games.
You can play their games for fun, and without having to create an account. The exception is their live dealer games, which you can’t play for free. But that’s the norm at most casinos.
Their casino is mobile responsive, too – no download or app needed. I checked it out on my iPhone and their casino (games) looked good. AND it looked like all their games were available.
Well, we haven’t read any terrible reviews – from customers or websites. Everything is pretty standard on that from – a few complaints here and there. But our sources indicate these are taken care of quickly.
And, they have a C on Sportsbook Review (SBR).
We like most of what we’ve seen, too. Their sportsbook is average, but they do have unique prop bets you won’t find anywhere else. It’s also neat you can request bets, and that they have unlimited betting limits if you make your bets over the phone.
Their casino is strong, too. They have a HUGE and DIVERSE selection of fun casino table games, slots and video poker machines. Unless you’re hell-bent on playing scratch tickets, you’ll have no problem finding something to play.
That all being said …there are a few things we don’t like about MyBookie.ag.
For one thing, I’m not a fan of their banking fees or bonus rollovers. Not only are they a bit high compared to other (US) sites, they’re not flat amounts, either. They operate on a sliding scale, which punishes you for cashing out or depositing large sums.
Then there’s the fact that they work with BetSoft, a company with great games, but apparently not the best ethics.
And last, there’s their ties to Bet On Sports, a rogue company who has stiffed players for millions of dollars.
Those last two things are our biggest sticking points.
I could get over the fees, bonus rollover and other stiff promotion terms. But it’s hard to look past a company who is related to a shady company, works with a shady company, or worse yet, all of the above.
For those reasons, I don’t think I can recommend them. There are far better and less riskier gambling sites you can join – Bovada, Bookmaker, 5Dimes and Ignition Casino all come to mind.
That said, your mileage may vary. And if your moral compass doesn’t have the problems we do with their background or who MyBookie.ag works with, then by all means, give them a shot.
